Why are you waiting for a call from your FI to get a venue? And what's with the "attachment" thing? You know getting married doesn't turn you into one of his limbs, right? ;)
I'm surprised you're having that much trouble. I live in St Louis and was second guessing my Charleston wedding so I looked into moving up the wedding date and getting married here and there was a lot of availability and flexibility for 2010. Are you focused on just one date, one place, one everything? You need to just calm down and take a breath. You've only been engaged 2 weeks, now is not the time to freak out, save that for later. Just relax and enjoy the time!
Oh, I see. That makes the attachment thing even weirder though. Seriously, what's the deal with that?
@lezlers: I've been dying to know too. I even tried to google it in case it was a thing I was missing. No dice.
When I read it I took it as she was attached to him, like at the hip. I don't think it's so weird?
Yeah, but she says she can't wait till the officiant announces them "husband and attachment." Probably just a joke. I hope.

I have dreamed of getting married since I was a little girl, like the most of us, and Now this entire process seems almost surreal. The Fuhbs (Future husband) and I have only been engaged for 2 weeks and I have already encountered bumps in the road that shouldnt exists when planning a wedding 13 months out! But apparently ST. Louis is a wedding crazed town and you must be 18 months out to have everything fall into place perfectly, or dont get married in the new "it" month: OCTOBER! We either have to Venue and no Church or vice versa. I have always lived by the words "Everything happens for a Reason" and my wedding definitly will not be the time to turn my back on them. But as of right now, I have my perfect Venue, not to fancy, not to casual, perfect for US and our Families. All I need now is a phone call from the One man I have always wanted to Pronounce me HUSBAND AND ATTACHMENT!
