I have a problem....I want the whole wedding experience with the bridesmaids, the flower girl, and the ring bearer.  Only problem is, I don't know any little boys.... So FI's cousins are all going to be in the wedding (he only has 3) but 1 is left out and its a girl, I already have a flower girl.  Would it be strange to have a girl for a ring bearer/bearette?

Not strange at all!  All that people will notice is that she's totally adorable :)

That sounds like it would actually be pretty awesome.

I don't think its strange either!  Especially if she's being left out, I say go for it!

When I was 7 I was a "princess ring bearer" in my aunt's wedding.  So was my twin sister.  No FGs.  I didn't think it was weird.  We each carried a pillow with one ring on it.  We stood on either side of my aunt and uncle.  We were cute!  :-)

My friends had a girl ring bearer.  It was a cute story actually; the groom's uncle had been the ring bearer at the groom's father's wedding.  Then the groom was the ring bearer at the uncle's wedding.  They wanted to follow tradition, and had the uncle's daughter (since he had no sons) be the ring bearer at their wedding.  Her outfit matched the flower girl's.  Go for it!

Thank you all! I feel a lot better now.  I knew that if I didn't find something for her she would be totally jealous, now I hope that she will feel important too.  :)

I went to a wedding where they'd found a tuxedo skirt suit for the ring girl, it was adorable!

not weird at all.  I was a girl ring bearer when I was 8 and let me tell you, I felt SO special to be included.

I'd say, dress her like the flowergirl and let her carry the pillow.
