I am less than 4 months away from my wedding and have been struck with dress regret! Maybe it’s because I bought my dress a good 8 months before the wedding, haven’t seen it, and have had entirely too much time to stew over it, but I’m thinking of something completely different than what I bought! I want to try some dresses on this weekend so I know if I’m just being delusional or if I really do regret my Adorae purchase.
I am now wondering if I should get something a little lighter and more traditional. I love taffeta because it’s light, airy, and pretty, but I’m open to other materials to. I want something A-line, fitted on the top and fuller on the bottom.
I have to watch how much $ these dresses are because I already spent $1200 on Adorae :-/ Some of the dresses I’ve been eyeing are Allure 2410, 2350, 2101, 8802. Have you tried on one of those, or something similar? Basically I’m looking at this style:
I have the Adorae, I think most of you know what that looks like, but if not:

Hmm…do you have a photo of yourself in Adorae? I’m pretty sure you look phenomenal in it! I’m not an A-line bride, although I thought I would be. The dresses you’re looking at are lovely, but I think Adorae really has that *wow* factor!

I think if you’ve already bought your dress, you shouldn’t go dress shopping. Your dress is gorgeous!

@Sunshining: Ah! Dress regret! I’m experiencing the same feeling now. I have an A-line, more traditional, fairly simple—and am wanting something a little more edgy! Maybe you and I should trade, ha ha!

that’s why i ended up with two dresses…so far. i bought a mermaid dress and then thought about my mom. i know she will want me to wear something more traditional and a-line so i went ahead and bought another dress.
i keep on getting myself in trouble by looking at dresses. i love looking through the classifieds section of WB. The dress below is gorgeous. it reminds me a lot of my second dress.
you should look at the wtoo line of watters & watters. i found the desdemona style after i purchased my watters lasara.

Thanks for the tips, guys.
I do want to clarify that I am not asking for people to try to sell me their dresses. Please don’t PM me with sales inquiries. I was just asking for suggestions about what dresses to look for/try on in my search, and was hoping to see some pictures of other Bees in these dresses.
I don’t have a pic of me in the Adorae, which is probably adding to my dress anxiety! I wish bridal salons were more open to photographs…!

I didn’t wear the Adorae, but something sort of similar & was told a million times on the day that I looked like such a classic bride! So don’t stress- you can still look classic & traditional in a dress that shows off your figure!
Here’s a pic as an example. I had major dress regret a few weeks before my wedding (there are so many beautiful dresses out there and I loved so many different styles) but I remembered that there was a reason that I bought my dress in the first place- because it looked the best on me!

I’m having the opposite problem…I bought Alfred Angelo’s Snow WHite and now I think I love the Adorae! Someone pointed me towards your thread, haha. I put up a poll on mine, maybe you should do the same.

I think it’s probably just nerves, stick with the dress you have! You will look gorgeous on your wedding day and will forgot you ever had dress regret!

Ok I have a relative story. My dress is very similiar to the Adorae, almost exact in fact. It took four months for my dress to come in after I ordered it and I was fine for the most part. But for some reason, the closer it got to the tine for my dress to come in, I kept “remembering” that my dress made my butt and hips look soooo huge. I mean I was reakly worried. But when I got that call from the salon and tried the gown on again, it was more beautiful than I had ever remembered. I mean its gorgeous. You are right, you have just had alot of time to stew.
