Hi bees! I was wondering if any of you are wearing (or wore) A-line wedding dresses with crinoline underneath. Do you have any pictures of the dress with the crinoline? And did you buy an a-line crinoline or a fuller ballgown crinoline to go underneath? Thanks!

@skybride: Love the question, I was wondering the same thing. Hopefully, we can see some pics with it. I want to buy a crinoline petticoat and dye it hot pink underneath to match my shoes.

Is a crinoline a hoop or the net petticoat? I’m not great with this.

I am definiatly wearing one. Sorry I don’t have any pics right now but my dress just needed that little poof to get it to lay just right.

i tried the crinoline on with my a line and i wasnt a fan…it didnt really do much for the dress it made the bottom full but stiff, hardley any movement in the skirt..i liked how it naturally flowed w/o the crinoline. i think i have some pics on my moms camera, ill try and get over there this weekend and upload!

My dress was kind of a mix between a line and trumpet so I actually bought more of a trumpet shaped crinoline to wear under my dress. It just filled out the bottome a little more so when I walked the dress didn’t wrap between my legs.

@penguinsaremyfriends: You look beautiful! And the dress really looks better with the crinoline!
Where do you buy these? I’m thinking of doing the same thing since my A-line is chiffon… David’s Bridal?

@justeen: I had a simple satin and chiffon dress and wore a crinoline for the ceremony and reception. I bought mine at the local bridal store where I bought my dress. Here’s a few pics. It definately “fluffed” the dress out so it made it easier to walk, dance, etc. 🙂

I did get mine at David’s bridal. since I bought my dress from a bride on the Knot, it was a last minute “oh shoot, I should probaly get some poof” and I walked in bought it and left (well actually they pulled a lace dress and I tried on 2 crinolines to see which I like best). That easy.

I didn’t buy one for mine, instead the seamstress added in extra netting…it was hard to find the right crinoline because of the shape of my dress (a more fitted A-line)…it worked out wonderfully and also helped lift the dress off the ground.

@penguinsaremyfriends: So beautiful! I love how it adds shape to the dress!

I bought my crinoline from DB even though my dress was from somewhere else. I purchased the fullest A-line slip they had. It really helped it poof out nice for photos.
