Ok all you creative ladies...I'm loving this inspiration board. But I don't know how to actually carry it out. I've search for more star themed ideas without much luck. Do you have any ideas or suggestions?

Our wedding will be 11-11-11, so I'd like to incorporate "wishing" into it some how. Like wishing upon a star or it's 11:11, i wished for you.

I would maybe stear clear of any starfish, just because that is beachy & I can't imagine that would flow well with a november wedding.

*This may be extremely corny, but you could serve cornish hens for dinner then everyone would get a little wishbone

I think it would be beautiful to have a darkened room with tons of twinkle lights and candles. Metallics, dark blues, golds, yellows. To incorporate wishing, you could always do a wish tree as a guestbook. It's when you contrust a tree in your venue and all teh guests fill out little slips of paper with their wishes for you and hang them on the tree. Just google "wish tree" and you'll see what I mean.

Maybe use dark blue linens and get gold rimmed plates or chargers. Or, like the website I posted above, you could get linens with actual stars on them. (You can pull it off, I did polka-dotted linens)

I found this amazing woman on etsy.com to do my invitations, here is a sample of my save the date. her webpage is: http://www.etsy.com/shop/DesignsbyAdj

I purchased star paper lanterns from whirled planet, they were the cheapest I found just beware of colors they arent what they appear to be color wise. plus you get a discount if your a first time buyer.

I also purchased planetable star tags as favors from etsy.

etsy.com is the best website. period. my favorite site through out this whole wedding planning.

I ended up doing colors of navy, colbat, ivory, silver and black. All my flowers are peonies and ranunculuses in hot pink to make the blue pop.

I am also doing these (in silver) with the napkins but folding the napkins so a menu can slide in and sticking the star on the side.

This link another bee shared somewhere else, but it's how to make your own 3 dimensional star lanterns!  I've made a ton that we've used as a valance in our kitchen - they're very easy to do.  You could certainly use them in your decor.
