A little too perfect… of course it might not work

What does the ring look like?  Maybe something similar can be tracked down.

The other option is to have something custom made.

@Misswhowedding:  Go with plan A so long as the business won’t make you purchase the ring if the stretching doesn’t go well.  Either way, March and you’re not getting married until the end of May?  You’d have plenty of time finding him something in 2 months elsewhere.

P.S. What’s wrong with buying online?

@Misswhowedding:  Don’t you know what size and type you’re looking for from shopping in store?  Plus, lots of jewelry stores will ship to their own store so you can safely pick it up from them.

Just syaing, that might provide you with some more options!

@Misswhowedding:  can you show us a picture of the ring he wants or a similar one?

IMO, if you know the size and the general style, you can get the proper size titanium ring online for probably under $50 (assuming it is just titanium). The markup on titanium and tungsten rings at most bricks & mortar retailers is very high.

I have a (albeit small) titanium band that we purchased online (amazon). It is identical in all aspects except the brand name imprinted inside the band (we did not sacrafice quality or style or metal composition) and cost around $15.

here are a bunch of titanium men’s bands. Most have free shipping & returns as well:

@Misswhowedding:  What you can do is order online a ring that looks similar. All rings have a thickness stated. Say he likes 7mm thick, then type that in and find one similar to the one he has. If you are not usually home, have it shipped to a friends/relatives.

@ittybittykittycommittee:  +1

We did the same for my husbands ring. It was on sale for 35 so we ordered it, loved it so much and we bought another in case he lost it.

@Lalk2bee:  I feel like the men totally get the short end of the stick with wedding jewelry. They get stuck with rings that look like they came out of a spare auto parts box (meaning, they are all fairly simple bands – nothing like the fancy/intricate e-ring settings) and their rings cost mayyyyybe 10% of ours at the most.

My SO has a “back up” ring as well. He is the worst about losing things. We specifically got a small, inexpensive but pretty and lightweight band for me because I tend to break things. I also travel a lot for my job and am shocked that, in 4 years, I haven’t left my ring in a shower or dropped it down a drain at a hotel yet!

My husband loves his ring.  We got it from Amazon and it was only $30!

@ittybittykittycommittee:  Everyone’s opinions are different on that. What is simple? No diamonds? I have seen a lot of women with one diamond on a simple band and I would call the ring simple even though it is gorgeous. Just becuase it is cheaper doesn’t mean it looks cheaper. Everone says my husband’s ring is really fancy. No, his ring doesn’t have diamonds. I said he could but he said he hates diamonds on a mans band. His ring has a lot of facets and glitters, just not in a girly way.
