MY Future Sister-In-Law and Future Mother-In-Law are going shopping for Future Sister-In-Law bm dress and shoes this friday and didn’t invite me so I am a little upset. Also Future Sister-In-Law wants to wear 4 inch heels and this will make her taller than FI(her brother) who is 6ft and as tall as her other brother (the GM 6ft 1inch) do you think this will look silly in pics?

That sucks that they havn’t invited you. Any way you could just say “Hey, sounds like fun, do you mind if I join you?” I wouldn’t worry about the height/photos issue. I never notice that kind of thing in photos – I’m more concerned about seeing the happy/fun moments…

I wouldn’t worry about the heels, many times photogs rearrange people on steps and such.

Is she your only bridesmaid? Did you give her any guidlines? Are they planning on showing you dress before buying it? I find it a little weird, I haven’t always gone shopping with the bride ofr my bridesmaid dress, but its sounds like you are available. As for the heels things, I think she should wear them, I am tall too and sometimes when I wear my heels I’m almost he same height as Fi, and definitly the same height as my brother. I hate when people make comments or tell me not to wear them, it’s like I’m a girl too and I like my four inches as much as anyone else. I wore heels to both of my brothers weddings, and it was fine in pictures.

@TwoCityBride: No I have 3 BM’s. I gave her guidlines I know she will pick out something great. I would of just liked to have tagged along. She normally does not wear heels so her mom was the one who raised the concern and that is what got me thinking. If you ladies say it will look fine then I trust you.

@Katnisseverdeen: Maybe just throw in that you’d love to come if she’s looking for some opinions. 🙂 You could put it lightly or even sugar coat it that you won’t be pushy with a certain dress. Truthfully, she might just be a little intimidated that you will want her to get a certain dress that you see on her and YOU love (even though she may not)…maybe she just wants to make sure she gets to get something she loves with no pressure?
As for the heels, I would just sweetly say to the photographer that s/he can ask anyone to remove heels, squat down a bit, or stand on their tippy toes if need be to make the photos look better. 😉 I’m sure s/he will get the hint! 😉
