Yesterday I posted about my positive pregnancy test! I took another one this morning just to be sure…and the line was even darker and thicker and took less time to show up.
Now I’m freaking out a bit because I’m terrified of this either being a chemical pregnancy or having a miscarriage.
I’m about 4.5 weeks along and have lots of breast tenderness and a slight discharge. It’s clear/white but it’s freaking me out. There isn’t much of it at all…mostly just a feeling of it being wetter than usual down there, but it just reminds me of how I used to feel before I got my period and I’m terrified that I’m going to get my period and this will all be over :(I have some slight cramping…but only after I orgasm…which I researched and seems to be somewhat normal.
Anyone ever experienced any of this? Anything I can do to alleviate some of my anxiety? My doc won’t see me until 8 weeks so I still have about 3.5 more weeks to go.

From what I have read on here everything is going normal! Cramping is normal and even sometime some red spotting! Try to take care of yourself and relax, your baby needs a calm place to thrive not a negative nervous place 😉

@Bee27: That discharge sounds totally normal to me. Cramping is normal too, even without an orgasm. It’s a great sign that your 2nd hpt got darker – less likely to be a chemical pregnancy if that is happening.
I don’t think there’s much else you can do but try to keep busy/distracted and think positively! Congrats on the pregnancy!!!

Everything you are experiencing is normal. The first few weeks after my BFP were the most worrysome weeks. Cramps, discharge, sore breasts are all normal symptoms.

Everything is totally normal. If you had a chemical pregnancy or were miscarrying, the test wouldn’t be getting darker and showing up more quickly. Give your body the benefit of the doubt. Worrying won’t stop a miscarriage from happening…what happens will happen regardless!

Again, everything you’re experiencing, even the anxiety is so normal. All I can say is just breathe and trust that your body will do what it is supposed to do.

No need to worry – it sounds as though everything is going well! An increase in lotiony CM is one of the big indicators of pregnancy and it continues for the first few weeks. Oh, who am I kidding, it continues throughout pregnancy and gets heavier as the weeks go by. This is your body’s way of preventing bacteria from getting anywhere near your little baby, so if you’ve got a lot of discharge, consider that a very good thing as your body is making itself a nice little home for your little one for the next 8 months!
As for cramps – do a search on this site and you will find many, many threads that talk about cramping in early pregnancy. I had horrible cramps for the first 8 weeks and everything is perfectly fine. Staying hydrated is the best way to keep them at bay.
As for getting through the next 3.5 weeks – just take care of yourself. Drink lots of water, eat a healthy diet, take a prenatal vitamin, and do a bit of research on the things you should avoid/eat in moderation whilst pregnant. Also, listen to your body – rest up when you need to and take it easy if your body starts telling you you’re pushing yourself too hard.
Happy and healthy nine months to you!

Ladies, I cannot thank you enough for your kind and reassuring words! Everything is so new and exciting and scary and it helps to hear from others who are more knowledgable than I am and who have been through it!
