Have any of you already reserved your new email address for after you're married? I just did it....just wanted to make sure it wasn't taken. Is there anyone else out there as "organized" (insert CRAZY) as I am?

I did it months before. Unfortunately i went from a very unique german last name to a very common polish one. Now i'm one of a million! It was tough to get an email address! Get it while you can!

I didn't think about this until I was changing my name the other day on facebook and I was thinking about all the other places I needed to change my name :(

I did it before we even got engaged. ;) *JUST IN CASE*! I already reserved my facebook url in my married name, even though I haven't changed it, yet!

I actually tried a few weeks ago, and mine is taken :-(. I wish I would have thought of it sooner! I still need to figure out what I'm going to do instead!!

I did!  My maiden name was pretty uncommon, but my married name is not.  I just wanted to be sure it existed, and when I found out it did, I snapped it up!

I did my facebook URL in my new name too! Because it was a new service but I am also going to a really common last name so I am kinda upset about giving up my current email (it's currently just my name no numbers I will definitely have numbers when I change it)

I don't use it yet, but as soon as I get married it will be springing into action

Wanna know a secret??? When I was engaged, I signed up for my new married name on both yahoo and google. But of course, I had to be SUPER SUPER careful about it & I had to make sure it was a random unique password so that I wouldn't get *caught.*

Turns out that I was so stealth that I forgot the passwords myself! AND because I was being so secretive, I didn't hook it up to any of my other email accounts. SO NOW I DON'T REMEMBER THE PASSWORDS AND I CAN'T GET INTO EITHER ACCOUNT! SO SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Tongue out

YEEESSSS!!!! I Totally did this! and I am thrilled to know that I am not the only organized/crazy person out there!

My email has always been so easy: firstnamelastname@hotmail.com

So, (very) shortly after we got engaged, i registered for my firstnameNEWlastname@hotmail.com email address.

We were engaged for almost 2 years...but I was SO happy I did it.  After I got married it was all ready to go  - my official, married-lady email address :) :)

i too am not engaged but already have the email address! it actually makes me really happy to look at it. its such a concrete thing, you know?

unfortunately my first name is very long (alexandra) and my last name is short

so my old email was alexandralastname@gmail.com

    well they didn't have alexandranewlastname@gmail.com !

so i had to get......... alexandramaidennewlast@gmail.com   which is probably the worlds longest email address ever.

Did it before we were engaged. Actually, I did three. :p

The first one was perfect (myfirstname)(hislastname)@gmail.com

Then gmail said my password got reset, bummer. They won't let me back into it even though I have the confirmation email that has all the setup info. Grr.

Then I did mrs(hislastname)@gmail, but his dad teased me too much, and I didn't think it was a very professional one.

Finally, I settled on (myfirstinitial)(mysecondinitial)(partofhislastname)@gmail. (He has one of those French last names with three words. :p)
