We have been so caught up with working OT at our respective jobs to afford the big DC wedding, that I forgot that we were engaged a year ago today!

My fiance reminded me with an email inviting me to meet him for dinner reservations downtown to celebrate one year engaged, as he can't believe that I forgot!

I can't believe he was proposing one year ago in Barcelona- it feels like time has flown by.

I feel really lucky to have him and be 7 months out or so from our big day (even if we haven't planned as much as we would have liked!)

lol. You poor dear!!! It's crazy how time flies. I know both of you are working hard to afford your wedding but enjoy being engaged. =) Congratulations!

Thank you so much! He took me to a restaurant I have been trying to get a reservation at for months for a wine chef's choice menu with wine pairing for each course. It was so good that I am still full!

I am happy that he had us pause and remember how special our engagement was. We took turns trying to remember all the details of the day (leading up to his proposal, what we ate, what we drank) and had a great time.
