If you like the pink - go with pink! I think I know the dress you're talking about. Can you post a link?
It is wise to keep in mind how your pics will look when you look at the them 10, 20, 30 years from now. But at the same time, if you like it I'd say go for it and be different!
I say go for it!! If it is a beautiful dress it will still look nice in pictures years from now. I saw alot of pink dresses in my magazines and loved them. The chocolate brown color would definitely compliment it and people will remember it!
Check out photographer Laura Novak's recent wedding. She wore a pink dress. I like how original it is. Styles will change anyway as the years go on so I say do what you like now.
I say rock the pink dress if you want, it would be so unique! It is important to think about what it will look like in the future, but that's what black and white pictures are for!
So funny, I was also just going to post the link to Laura Novak's wedding pics.... I didn't even realize her dress was pale pink until she mentions it in her blog post, but I'm sure in person it was very lovely and subtle.
My dress is Blush. (you can see a picture in my knottie bio link is in my contact page)It hardly looks pink actually looks more champagne. My BMs are also wearing Chocolate brown. I think I know what dress you are refering to. If it's the one I am thinking it's beautiful and will look great.
I think pink will look great. If you love the dress you should go for it. And seriously, no matter what you wear its going to look "dated" 30 years from now in your pictures (better term than outdated). Look at Jackie O's wedding pictures, or Tricia Nixon's, or your mom's... there's nothing wrong with that! If people can't guess the approximate year you got married from your dress, they'll be able to do it from the men's hairstyles, or someone's glasses, or the width of the lapels on the tuxes...
I think a pink dress would be awesome! Everytime someone mentions "pink wedding dress," I think of Gwen Stefani's dress... but it doesn't have to be that exreme (even though I loved her gown)!
If the pink has more punch, GO WITH IT!

Hi ladies, I'm a little stuck right now and being indecisive. I have all these great ideas and don't know where to start! I am getting married in April with the ceremony at a garden/woodland and reception to follow at a golf course clubhouse. I have decided that my bridesmaids will be wearing chocolate brown, and the flowers are going to be ivory/white roses and pink and green tulips.
I found a wedding dress by Maggie Sottero that is a gorgous pale pink with ivory lace detailing on the bodice. I'm stuck as to whether a pink wedding dress will be outdated and look terrible in photos or if I should go with something more traditional? The dress is available in white as well, however it doesn't have the same punch. What should I do?
