Hubby and I aren’t really big on photos, but knew they were a necessary evil for the wedding that we couldn’t avoid. So, I opted not to hire a professional photographer but instead hired a friend (who is an aspiring photographer) to do my photography. I knew the pictures wouldn’t blow any ones socks off, but I figured in the day and age of DSL and photo editing, I couldn’t lose much. I had seen photo shoots she had done for fun and really like her photos.
For the most part, they turned out great … really love ’em, but her lack of experience shoed in som of them. So there is one photo of hubby and I outside the church that I absolutely *love* but it is so washed out (don’t know if her camera settings were off, if she used the flash and shouldn’t of or what).
I would really love to be able to print this photo and put it in a nice 8×11 frame that we have … I’m wondering if there is anyone out there with skills who might by any chance be able to take a crack at making my dress/bouquet not looked quite so washed out?
I would be so appreciative … and send you 100 e-cookies 🙂

Also, try running them through Picasa. It’s free from Google, and you can clean up photos very easily. You’ll have a toolbar on the left once you click on a photo and one of the buttons says “I’m feeling lucky.” Generally, if you just hit that, you can get some really good results. If not, feel free to play around with the settings, they’re very simple to use.

I second @jo.lee’s Picassa! Great, free program.
You can also send them to me too if you want. That’s what I do for a living pretty much 🙂

Wow, such helpfullness! You know what gets me…it would have helped if my photographer had told us we weren’t going to get any of the photos on a DVD that they edited for our album. 🙁 If we had known upfront we would have at least tried to negotiate a way to make that happen.
