You can sort the boards according to topic.

If you don’t want to read NWR posts, just click the “wedding related” heading and all of the other posts will be filtered out. It’s pretty easy to do.

@Zhabeego:  Honestly, it doesn’t bother me; and I’m a childfree bee. Sometimes I’ll actually see something that interests me or that I want to contribute to in that section; if not, I can scroll on by tomorrow those things that do interest me.

Also, a lot of women getting married are thinking about TTC after they marry; so while I don’t think that marriage = babies, for a lot of people the two are connected; so it’s understandable that there’s a pregnant/TTC/parenting section.

I’m not planning a regular wedding, and I still find the bee enjoyable. I’m going to be having a small civil ceremony with immediate family and going to a restaurant afterwards. I generally skip most of the wedding stuff except for dresses and rings. There are women on here who have been married for awhile. Not everyone on here is the middle of wedding planning. Some of us just like forums and chatting.

@Zhabeego:  Umm they do have their own board under Nesting, but when you click on Wedding Bee as a whole all posts from Wedding, Nesting, and NWR come up. It shows you most recent posts.

I know the forum is Wedding Bee, but everyone had other interests. Someone might want to ask a question that correlates with the wedding but isn’t truly about the wedding itself.

And for anyone that cares to know there is Hello Bee Boards, which is baby specific.

@AB Bride:  Haha I didn’t even know it stayed up for that long. I caught it, like, 20 seconds after I posted and fixed it, lol. Apparently for some it might be!

weddingbee.com –> wedding related topics –> (choose wedding-related topic of choice).  Problem solved.

Life doesn’t end after marriage.

I personally think that it is great that people are able to make connections and friends and not feel like they can no longer participate after their weddings.

Although I am not a part of the TTC world, I actually found some of those threads really interesting. For many couples, TTC and parenting is the logical progression of their post-marriage relationship and Bees don’t want to abandon the hive community. You know the nursery rhyme “First comes love, the comes marriage,….”

Anyhow, it has been pointed out by a PP that you can sort for only wedding related (or any of the other boards, for that matter) so you’re not overwhelmed by the other stuff.

@Zhabeego:  you can read nwr stuff without wading through the pregnancy boards. Just pick specific topics other than pregnancy..

Weddingbee is a catch all for every single thing women like to talk about 😉

Go with the flow! It’s a wonderful place to bee 🙂

@Zhabeego:  Well I guess that’s unfortunate for you.
