That’s so nice. There is definitely a lot of crazy out there.

I really like your friend! Does she have a million equally sane siblings? The world would be a nicer place 🙂

@badabing88:  So basically she replied how any normal human being should reply? lol.

It is a sad day indeed when people have to point out when someone responds normally to a situation just to counteract all the negative.

@badabing88:  Ha ha ha. It’s so sad that this is worthy of mention, but it so is! Why are people so insane?

I was SHOCKED by how calm & collected my BFF was this weekend at her wedding. A freaking bird flew into her room while she was getting ready. I jumped up screaming and she just kept doing her hair. I was late to the wedding because it was on some random beach that no one bothered to point out. Since SO & I were 20% of the guests and I had the rings & was doing the only reading, it was kind of obvious. She was fine. Then her parents were an hour late to the “reception” lunch while we all sat there starving. She was totally calm. SO & I couldn’t find her when they wanted to go take pictures, so she just took pics of her groom herself and asked some stranger to get them together. Seriously, I think even I would have been a basketcase by the end of the day, but she was amazing.

In retrospect, I should buy her a fruit basket or something. I wasn’t the best MOH in the history of the world 😛

@badabing88:  Exactly! I’ve had a “friend” get upset at me because I couldn’t make it to her “bachelorette weekend” in Las Vegas (it would have required me to take Friday AND Monday off work and to purchase an expensive plane ticket). It is so sad when we have to point out the good (in hopes that people who are on the verge of being crazy will notice a realize, “hey, there is more to life than this ONE event!”). I’d like to think the majority of ladies here would respond the same way though. 🙂

It really is crazy how big of a deal some people make these events, and just generally how self centered people can be, like they just can’t see outside of their own world. I love it when people tell/inform me they can’t come, that means that it makes it easier to plan the event because I know who is and who is not coming. What annoys me, is when people say they are going and then they don’t turn up etc – however, even these people I love still because life does happen!

@badabing88:  One of my oldest friends messaged me the morning of my shower that she was too sick to come. She contact me in like 4 different ways because I had no phone and she was anxious that I would be upset/wouldn’t get the message on time… I was totally fine with it! The only issue is people saying yes then not showing up because, like, they decided to watch Law & Order instead lol. Then again, lots of brides are nuts and expect you to clear a year for them & their wedding… so I totally get it 🙂
