I really didn’t know where to post this. I am TTC and this kind of does pertain to that but not really.
Had this been yesterday, I probably would have cried when he asked me about kids. But today, I just laughed it off.
I had a handyman over giving me a estimate on some work i need to be done. We were sitting at the dining room table as he is working up a price. It was taking longer than I thought.
Handyman: What time are the kids coming home?
Me: I don’t have kids yet. (looking confused)
Handyman: Oh, I saw all the little shoes lined up outside.
Me: Yeah, those are mine.
Handyman: Oh, I assumed they belonged to all your kids, what size do you wear?
Me: 4 1/2
Handyman was in shock that my feet are so tiny. I have about 4 pairs of sneakers outside, we don’t like shoes in the house if we can help it.

Dang those are some small feet. When I was in the Army they called me Baby Boots but I wear a 7!

@ajillity81: I’m size a 4! My husband is size 13, so when our shoes are side by side, people always comment. My shoes actually fit into his!

how do you guys support your bodies when you walk? Such tiny feet! I have no issues stabilizing myself with my monstrous size 8 feet! Lol

Wow! Thats tiny! So is it really hard to find shoes your size? Or do you end up getting awesome deals on shoes cause it’s like the only size left?
Post # 7
@NowandLater: yeah, my husband wears a size 12. my shoes look very funny next to his, especially when they are lined up next to each other.
@pinkshoes: oh it is really hard to find reasonably priced shoes. i mostly only buy at nordstrom, unless i want to shop in the kids department. macys starts adult sizes at 6, maybe if you are lucky you can get a 5.5. every now and then i run into smaller sizes at boutique stores. normal stores only make 1 or 2 small sizes, and they are usually the first to go, just like clothes.
@meglor: i’ve never had an issue. i guess they are proportional to me. i’m 5 feet tall.

@ajillity81: Hahaha I am a size 5 or 5.5 and I have people ask me alllll the time if I wear children’s shoes! I’m only 5 feet tall too, I guess we are just small all over.

Haha that’s adorable!! I wear a 10! It’s proportionate because I’m 5’11, but since it’s the last mainstream size, I’m really hoping they never increase. My husband wears a 14…and Nordstrom Rack is such a great place for off-sizes.

@kate02121: +1000 on Nordstrom Rack!!! (I wear a size 12)

Part of me would LOVE to have such a sweet adorable tiny feet!
But finding shoes must be HORRIBLE.

@ajillity81: LOL you’d have a field day in Japan – their sizes are tiny! Depending on the shoe, I could be anywhere from 7-8.5 (most commonly 7.5-8), but in Japan I think I was a 9 or 10. 😛

@kate02121: i love when nordstrom has their Over/Under days. every woman’s shoe greater than 10 and less than 5.5 are pulled out on the floor. it just makes it so much easier then having to ask, even though they can order it.
they do this twice a year.
@BrandNewBride: eveyone tells me my feet will grow once i’m pregnant, i hope they at least get to 6. it would just make everything so much easier. though i do like my feet overall.
@ChicFoodist: i’ll have to add japan to my list of places to visit, and bring an empty suitcase.

@meglor: Monstrous size 8?? Ha! I’m a size 10, but I’m also 5’11″… I can’t even imagine what having size 4.5 would be like…
Post # 15
@meglor: Ha my husband always asks how I can walk on my little feet (they aren’t even that little – 6.5/7). I ask how he doesn’t trip over his! (Size 13).

LMAO! Great story. I’m 4’11 and wear size 5 shoes. When I’m wearing my shoes I guess they look proportional to my body, but when they are off and lined up everyone comments on how tiny my shoes are.
