I wore patterned shoes and wore a bright pink hair flower for the reception.

This has been my dream dress for the past 3 years. I carry a picture of it in my wallet.
I honestly don't think that pink is so much of a shocker - you know, it still totally looks like a wedding dress. I think you should go for it. :) The maids don't necessarily have to be in white either. Them in a darker shade of pink would be pretty too:)
I'm wearing blue shoes and a purple crinny, and my hair will probably have purple flowers in it. I'm putting color wherever I can!
My dress will be black with a red underlay. I don't have pics yet because it's not made yet... I have a crappy cell phone pic of the red fabric with the black lace overlay.
I really wanted purple shoes but can't find any that work for me, so I'm probably just painting my toenails purple with ivory shoes, and I intend to wear glasses with purple frames.
Oh! ETA: I'll also have a purple clutch for the reception.

I love the idea of the color pop in wedding attire. Shoes, hairpiece, slip or jewelry. It's a step away from traditional, But I just love it!
I love being different and planned to one day have some pops of color in my own wedding attire. I've even dreamed about wearing a dress in the color blush and having maids in white or ivory. But recently I'm starting to see this idea everywhere.
Is anyone else doing color splashes with their own bridal attire?
Or having wearing a dress in a color other than ivory or white?
