- Wedding: February 2016
As I’ve posted before, my BF and I have 2 years until we can move-in together. Right now he lives an hour away and we see each other on the weekends. We’ve decided to get married in the spring of 2016, just before the big move. Recently, I found out that I wouldn’t be able to do that until mid June 2016. Tacking on an extra 3 months really hit me hard – I know it’s not that long, considering, but I was already counting down the days. I was depresed for a few weeks, then decided to ask my BF how long of an engagement he wanted, thinking that was something in the meantime that I could look forward to.
He said “That depends on how long it takes me to get around to proposing,” in a joking way. The first week of September will be our two-year anniversary, so I gave him a 6-month window. “Would sometime between this September and March 2015 be a reasonable timeline for a proposal?” He said yes!
So – I only have 4 more months to wait until my personal Engagement Season begins. It definitely brightened my outlook on the waiting! Ack! I have a timeline!
