Alright, I have to admit up front that I am not even engaged but my boyfriend and I already know that we will be getting married, it’s just about saving the money and getting me through college and then we’re gonna do it to it! 😀
I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want my wedding to look like, and while looking through pintrest I found these adorable picture frames that gave me an idea!
Let me start by saying that my mother passed away when I was a little girl, and one of the things I remember she loved and always makes me think of her is the Corinthians verse, “Love is patient, love is kind” What I am wanting to do is something with a picture frame that says one and include a picture instead of table numbers!
Ex. One of the tables will say “Love is Patient” instead of Table 1 and will be accompanied by a picture of my huney and me and im thinking maybe one of us could be looking at a clock with crossed arms and the other could be doing something that looks time consuming (I havent quite figured it all out.) What do you ladies think?! It will all be in a picture frame, so it wont be too much all over the table.
Is it too much? Should I just go with something simpler? I am really in love with the idea, but please be honest!

@Excited To Bee: I love it. I think regular table numbers are boring. I also think it adds a conversation topic to the table if strangers are sitting together.

I liked everything up to the pictures illustrating each idea.
I think the idea is beautiful, but I’m not one for pantomiming the lines, i’ll be honest.
But coming from experience, I can almost guarantee you’re going to change your mind about this and everything else wedding many, many times so enjoy not having to plan a wedding at the moment, haha.

Love the idea. Great way to honor your mom at the wedding! I would also consider doing a memorial candle at the ceremony for her.

I love the idea of incorporating your mom. I think its very important to make her part of your day. But I agree with everyone else about the pictures. I would find one design, add each of your sayings to it, and go from there. My table names are actually going to be the word love in different languages, and since I am having a love-themed beach wedding, I found a picture of a heart drawn in the sand and I’m using that for each table. I like to keep things simple. They tend to be less busy, cheesy, etc.

I personally dont like big things sticking up from the table so we are using needle felted animals. I think its important to find something to you and your idea is really cute. If you want to do pictures of the two of you I would do it holding up chalkboard signs with what the little ligne is.

the pictures might be a little much, unless you keep them really simple, maybe black and white. Like just your boyfriend’s hand holding a pocketwatch, or a close up of you two holding hands just showing the hands. Also, you’ve got “love is patient” and “love is kind”…. but that’s only two tables. What would the other tables be?
overall I do think it’s a very cool idea and you should definitely make it happen

@lisabula: Throught the verse it refers to love as “it” so I would just continue to replace it with love. So..
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Turns into… Love is Patient, Love is Kind, Love always trusts, Love always hopes, Love is not self-seeking, etc.
I’m thinking of not doing pictures, and instead of picture frames thinking of a more creative way to write it out. Who knows for sure though.. I am sure I will have to do a little diy and there will be a lot of trial and error. : )
