- Wedding: October 2012
And now it was time for the ceremony to begin. I didn’t really get nervous until this moment, and suddenly the butterflies were everywhere. I was so excited to see my groom!
And then the music began. First a spanish guitar insturumental of “Time to Say Goodbye” as my grandparents entered.
Then the groom’s parents:
Then my mom and grandfather. (They’re kind of social butterflies.)
Then our officiant and interpreter. All the while, I stood just out of view, my heart racing, as my dad couldn’t stop grinning.
And then the music changed. The Superman theme song began and out walked the groom’s father (Best Man)
And then his brother (Groomsman)
The music swelled, and out walked my stoon-to-be husband, to a huge surge of applause. He was beaming.

And then another change in music. The Sarah McLachlan version of Blackbird. And my best friend from middle school walked out. (Maid of Honor)
And then my goregous twin sister:
They hung both their lanterns on either side of our arbor, and the moment had come.
It was time for my groom and I to see each other.
Landon Pigg’s “Falling in Love in a Coffee Shop” began playing, and dad opened the doors.
And here’s where I just about lost it, seeing my husband standing at the arbor.
My husband was losing it too.
We both took a breath, and were smiling again. So excited to get married.
It was time to get married!
