So I am going to be a two veil bride for sure, since I have fallen in love with birdcage veils! At the bridal shop, I fell in love with the look of the cathedral veil for the ceremony, so I decided I would just make my own since tulle is sooo cheap in comparison to the mark up at the bridal shops.
I originally wanted to scatter crystals throughout the cathedral length veil, but yesterday I had an ephiphany about making a veil with pick-ups & a little bit of crystal bling.. Am I crazy?? I searched high and low for a picture of a veil with pick-ups but there was none to be found. What do you ladies think?

I think it sounds beautiful!
How easy is it going to be to do?

I think it could look fantastic with that dress! I say go for it!
And really, veils aren’t that hard to make. I picked up some cheap tulle and whipped out 3 in one night. Granted, they all have a cut edge still, I didn’t trim them with anything but they’re pretty easy. And I don’t think pickups would be all that hard either. Just get plenty of extra fabric so that you can do a test run. I got a cathedral, elbow and shoulder length veil out of 5 yards. Good luck and definitely come back and post pictures of it!

Did you check out this website? A fan is kinda like a pick-up, right?

I love cathedral length veils – they are so elegant and really change your entire look. I tried on a relatively simple gown with a cathedral veil and it looked amazing
Sounds like yours will be beautiful
