I was married by a woman to my ex-husband. I should add that had nothing to do with the ultimate demise of the marriage 🙂

oops, i realized it sounds like my sister did my wedding. i meant my sister had a female for her wedding.

i was supposed to have my female friend officiate mine, but now i just found she is not coming 🙁   but she does a lot of weddings locally. so i assume it happens a lot now.

I didn’t but have been to several weddings with female chaplains.  All good unless you’re a male chauvinist!

We had a woman minister marry us and she was WONDERFUL! It was her second wedding and she was fairly new and also recently married. This was a great asset when we had our premarital counseling because we felt like she’d just gone through getting married and knew what it was like. Everyone said the ceremony was the best they’d been to because it was so personal. She had us write a letter to her about our relationship and used it to personalize the ceremony! It rocked!

I really, really wanted to be married by a woman, but my mom wouldn’t hear of it. Since she’s paying, I’m acquiescing, but I think it would be great.
