I've given this warning before, but I'll take this opportunity to do so again. Stay away from Hair Comes the Bride in California.
Uppercase living sells products similar to the ones you are describing. I have used these, and have had no problems with them causing damage. Although, I can imagine paint fading under them severly if you use them for long term use (they have a line of children's room decor that I thought about but decided against for this reason). So, if you do want decals, give them a try!
I just went to the site to check it out, I'm a visual person. And I bustyed out laughing when I saw in the lower left corner was a link to their "Oopps Collection"
Hahaha!
Thanks for the heads up! I will be sure to let other bride friends know about this as well.
Stampin' Up! just came out with some decals, including letters/numbers...maybe someone has had better luck with them? You can't custom create, and most things are brown or white, but I hope it works out for you!
You may want to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. It worked for me when I had an issue with some magazine company that was giving me the runaround. I got the check within 2 weeks. Good luck!

Because this is a wedding related site...I usually like to keep thinngs fun and lighthearted. Who doesn't love a wedding, right? But sometimes, all is not perfect in weddingland. I experienced such a problem with my wedding planning back in February.
I was thinking about using Wonderful Graffiti's Wedding offerings to add a little something extra to my wedding venue. Wonderful Graffiti sells vinyl decals you can have customized with various quotes, your monogram, etc. They offer a free sample on their website which I quickly took advantage of. With the sample, they send an insert that says their product is guaranteed to work and not cause damage (can you guess where this is going?). I got the sample and applied it to the first thing I could...my desk. I left it there and admired it for a few minutes before trying to take it off.
As I started to peel off the vinyl decals, the finish and top layer of my $600 desk was coming up as well! It was awful! I tried to peel slower, be more gentle but to no avai. I know have a very visible "WG" torn through my desk.
I contacted Wonderful Graffiti about my problem when it happened back in February and they proptly said they would pay for the damage. Phew....crisis averted! They then put me in touch with their insurance guy. After weeks of correspondence with him, sending pictures and other info, he said they would get a check to me soon.
Needless to say, here we are several months later and I have been given the runaround. I am trying to get this resolved with the insurance guy who tells me the people at Wonderful Graffiti are giving him the runaround now too! The people I am working with directly at Wonderful Graffiti keep saying the check in on its way and it never comes. I have even been in touch with the owner of the company directly. There is nothing I can really do since they are in Ohio and I am in California. I am still trying to get this issue resolved but am really frustrated and disappointed with how Wonderful Graffiti has handled this situation.
Please be advised that Wonderful Graffiti does not stand by their product and will not help you if something were to go wrong and you were to damage your ceremony or reception sites with their product...you would be liable. I would really recommend that you avoid them. Look elsewhere for your venue decor.
Has anyone else had problems with Wonderful Graffiti? What about other types of wedding vendors/services you want to vent or warn us about?
