Can’t believe we’re in June already and our weddings are a year out this month!
When/where are you getting married and how are you all getting on with planning, booking vendors etc?
Our date is 22nd June 2015, DW in Northern Italy – i feel like I’m pretty well organised…we have booked our planner and our venues and are going over to Italy in a few weeks to finalise our photographer, menu, hair/make up artist, transport etc. I’ve also already got the invites, favours, bridesmaids dresses are sorted, colours chosen and I’ve picked up a few bits and pieces for decor. Hotel block should be sorted this week and I’ve found the dress and silk flowers I want so will be ordering them in the next month or two!
It feels more real now…

I’m getting Married on 27th June at my parent’s house in southern UK.
Wow, that’s great progress! suppose DW need forward planning perhaps more so than other weddings.
- DIY STDs (have the stuff for them but need to get making so they can be out for next month)
Decided on/chosen (no money been put down yet!)
- Food (my parents and grandmother are doing it!)
- Bride’s Dress/Shoes
- Colour scheme
- Hair/makeup artist (getting this for free)
- suits/grooms dress
- bridemaids dresses (coloured decided, unsure on style)
- transport (not having any)
- seating plan
- invites/paper goods
- flowers (I don’t plan on flowers being a big focus of the decor)
- like million other things!

**I said ‘grooms dress’, a bit misleading. he’s not wearing a dress. I just meant stuff other than suit which he may be wearing! haha

Oh my gosh, girls, I can’t even deal – only a year to go!
My progress is as follows:
-Church booked + deposit paid
-Priest asked and accepted to marry us
-Reception venue booked + deposit paid
-4 of 5 bridal party members asked and accepted
-Catering chosen but not finalized
-Favors chosen but not purchased/assembled
Everything else is yet to be done and I’m stuck on the other side of the state for another week trying to finish up the end of my third year of medical school. Can you say lack of motivation? 🙂

Oh lord how are we supposed to pay for everything??? That was the convo FI and I had the other night when we had a finances update conversation. Is anyone else having buyers remorse when they see the price tags??
That being said, I bought my wedding dress, booked the venue (but haven’t paid for it) and meeting with a photographer (my neighbor!) next week. FMIL volunteered to design and pay for invitations. Beyond that, I’m shaking my head.

One year?? 😮 how did that happen??!
Our date is June 20, 2015.
So far we have decided on:
Venue (parents backyard for ceremony and hall up the road for reception)
Food (taco bar, cupcakes!)
my dress is purchased
centrepieces and colour scheme
photographers and homemade photo booth
we have ideas for:
bridal parties (still kind of up for debate)
guest list (needs to be smaller!)
games and entertainment throughout the night
save the dates
and we have no clue about:
Specific music choices (first dance, walking down the aisle etc)
the person who will marry us..(essential, I know!)
the thousand other things I’m sure I’m forgetting!

coffeedrinker: FI and I don’t have a budget, the rule is ‘don’t go crazy’, it’s hard but happy with decisions so far. I haven’t got into buying the ‘little’ bits which suddenly start to add up!

Dreambee: about the same as I’ve got then! sometimes I look at others and feel so behind! we’re getting married in my parents’s garden too!

PenguinLove: I know exactly what you mean. Especially when i see other brides have centerpieces and their gown already purchased..lol

Dreambee: I have very little idea about any of the details are going to look at the moment, visions in my head aren’t reality! I do know people getting married before me with less planned than me though.

PenguinLove: When i first got engaged i was the same too, I had very little idea’s. Now that we have been engaged for six months i picked up idea’s here and there.
Weddingbee has been a great help honestly. So many ideas
I have all these idea’s and i feel like it’s too early to purchase certain things. I knew that my first purchase was going to be my dress!!

Dreambee: I’ve been collecting tea cups for my place names, it’s just a vision I had for a while, a small touch perhaps but it’s taken a while to collect enough of them for it to work. I know what you mean, sometimes it’s just too early to do stuff. I’ve chosen the dress but not ordered it yet, feels too early tbh!
this is what I have in mind:
