And I’m freaking out a tiny bit. I had an abnormal pap a while back, and they did a LEEP procedure. Since then I’ve had like 6 or 7 ish years of normal results. I’m 11 weeks pregnant now, and just had a pap done at my last appointment and it’s showing mild abnormal cells. They said right now they are just going to do paps on me every 3-6 months until I have the baby, and then they will do a colposcopy. Is this something that tends to get worse as the pregnancy progresses? I really just want this pregnancy to go smoothly. I don’t need something else to be stressed out about….

I have never been pregnant but have looooots of experience with abnormal paps. I’d be willing to bet that you will be fine. If it’s a small amount now, it will probably grow, but I’d imagine that post baby, once hormones settle a little, you will get back to normal.
Just my two cents.

I don’t know if this helps you at all, but I had a Cone LEEP 1.5 years ago and have had mildly abnormal paps ever since, every 3 months. My OBGyn gave me the ‘go ahaed’ for TTC and said my abnormal paps are not an issue.
I think I read somewhere that giving birth might be help you shed those abnormal cells.
