HELP!! Our ceremony starts at 4:30. How in the WORLD do I write this out on the invitation? Right now I have: Half past four o’clock in the afternoon.
Or is that considered evening? I haven’t been able to find an “official” ettiquitte guide on this!!
Thank you for any help you can provide! 🙂

Technically you don’t have to put anything beyond “Half past four o’clock” because no one would assume it’s 4 AM in the morning…however, if you want to add “in the …” I would put afternoon. Anything before 6 PM is considered afternoon (I know that sounds weird).

Of course as soon as I posted this, I found the answer, lol!!! Thank you for your response! I’m excited I can delete unnecessary verbiage from the invite now 😉 Thanks!

I personally am not a fan of invitation wording of times. My invites will be on the casual side of wording everything. I would just write “four-thirty in the afternoon” if it were me.

@whao1225: what is the “answer”?
