yellow, orange and red are great colors with black and white...............to be funky a lime green?
The great thing about black and white is that you can throw any accent color in and it'll be a pretty color palette!
I love black and white with canary yellow, teal, and grassy green. Purple looks really pretty with black, too!
Oh duh, I forgot, our wedding colors are black, white, mustard, and blues.
Example- our wedding website. lol
I'm braindead right now. :p
I have a friend who is having a black and white wedding. Their accent color is light yellow. They plan to use yellow roses for flowers etc...
A pink or blue? Yellow might clash with the ivory depending on how much of it you are going to be using. Do you have a theme yet?
I just read that you were thinking about champagne- that would be pretty too!
I'm a fan of red personally. I don't think it would look Christmasy with polka dots and things like that. You pretty much can't go wrong with b&w though so you could pick anything and I think it would look great.
Actually red is a great accent color to black and white or black and ivory. I'm having a apple red with black and white damask wedding here are pics of my flower girl basket and ring pillow I just made earlier this week.
depends on the season & if you want to match the season/holiday. it depends on your preference too. I like pinks, yellows, blues, purple-almost any color. I would go with a pop of color-not champagne-personally
My wedding is July 17 2010. There really isnt a theme...although the reception has polka dots ( seat covers, candy buffet, etc) I am looking for one color to make things pop but still look chich for the ceremony and fun at the reception. The invitations I have designed have a sating ribbon around them and Im trying to choose one main accent color for that purpose alone as well as everything else....I LOVE red, which is what we were originally using until we went to the florist and I thought things looked wintery....
i'm doing fushia as an accent, but i'm also a big fan of apple green! with black and white the options are really endless...
I have seen some black white and lime green weddings that have been GORGEOUS!!!
Our attendants wore black (tuxes and dresses) and the ties we picked out for the guys were each a different color. Then we coordinated the bridesmaids' bouquet ribbons to match their opposite guy's tie. It looked really neat when they walked up the aisle together. We died the reception in the same colors and got a lot of compliments. I do NOT think that three is the limit when it comes to wedding colors!
What about a coral - it's a bit more pinky so it wouldn't remind you of Christmas so much, but you can get lovely deep corals just a couple shades pinker than your normal red :)
My venue is at a country club and it has sort of a rustic style to it. Im trying to make things as cohesive as possible with the colors, black and ivory as well as the polka dots.
We are doing black and ivory also. Our accent color is eggplant/dark purple.
Someone above said lime green - LOVE IT! OR what about a bright blue?
I am having black and white with a really like green sage color as the accent. Looks very pretty- very natural (our wedding is at a vineyard so this worked well!).

Im having a black and ivory wedding. My reception is going to have polka dot chair covers. Im having a hard time choosing an accent....originally I thought red....but it was too Christmasy for me, and now Im thinking champagne...any thoughts??
