I think updos can look kind of severe with a strapless dress.  Would you consider wearing it down, or half up/ half down?  That updo especially is extremely tight.

If you want to wear your hair up, go for it!  In my opinion, I’d go for a more even distribution of hair in the updo though (ie don’t pile it all on top of your head).  But that’s just my opinion. Here’s my Pinterest page with tons of updos.  And here’s a couple pics of what I did (my hair is a little frizzy here because it was SUPER windy outside!  Another thing to keep in mind about updos if you want outdoor photos).

I love the dress and updo! It would be very beautiful. What kind of look are you going for? I think a necklace would be a really good division between your neck and dres, that will be a lot of bare skin, unless you have large earrings.

I’m doing crystal drop earrings with no necklace, no bracelets.. I think ur idea for hair will look spectacular with that gown.

@millermelly:  I agree with PPs that hairstyle may be too severe for a strapless dress. But honestly, I’d have to see a trial with the dress on to accurately judge how it would look because who knows, it may look good. I had a strapless trumpet gown and this is how I had my hair:

@millermelly:  I was just about to ask what sort of style you are going for, but yes if you are going for sleek and simple i think that style hair would look very pretty with that dress. Personally i think i would skip the hair accessories and just stick with simple drop earrings and maybe a pearl bracelet.

I don’t think it’s too harsh at all! It’s a great style, and would look very modern bridal. I’d personally just leave it up, maybe do a small sparkly piece on the side. Nothing too over the top!

@millermelly:

I think that hair style with that dress would look stunning! I think you have two options with it:

1. Wear beautiful drop or chandelier earring with a long, but not too long as to cover up the bow at the back of the dress, veil that had a straight edge. I think the veil coming from the underside of the bun would look fabulous!

2. A single flower would look lovely tucked into the bun, but I would then simplify the earrings to large studs.

I think anything else would distract from the simplistic beauty of the dress. I can’t wait to see your finished look!
