Bees ….. I am very disappointed all of a sudden with my wedding shoes and bridal headband.
I bought the shoes over a year ago and I LOVED them SO much when I first got them. I have messed up feet, and my fiance is only a few inches taller than me, so I needed super comfy flats.
So I bought these from Easy Spirit:
At first I thought wearing these was like walking on pillows …. but I just put them on again after months in the closet, and they are NOT comfortable at all. There’s great support and the insoles are soft, but my feet are super wide and the sides are digging into my skin. And the bottoms are really kinda heavy duty and make awful clunking noises when I walk and I feel like I’ve got flippers on 🙁
So I ordered a pair of Aerosole sandals ….. but they were $30 and I feel really guilty about spending more $ on another pair of shoes. AND these Easy Spirits were supposed to be my “something blue” ….. but now I need to find a NEW something blue…..
And then there’s my headband. I bought it at the bridal shop where I bought my dress, and it was $75, which my dad paid for. But I didn’t realize how wide the thing is. It’s all stretched out (it was the display). And while the rhinestones look really good/clean/sparkly, the headband itself isn’t really what I wanted. And it’s HUGE on my head. Like, I’m afraid it’s going to slide off when I get my hair done…..
I know I can get a new one, but again, they are super expensive and I just feel really guilty about spending more money, especially when my dad bought this one for me!!!

@Stace126: In the grand scheme of things, what is another $100 to have comfy feet and to be happy with your entire look on your wedding day? If you can’t find another something blue, you can always give yourself a blue sharpie tattoo somewhere (invisible). But, I think it will be easy to add a something blue to your bouquet or undergarments. Don’t feel bad. This is your one splurge day. Good luck!

Can you post pics? Maybe the headband isn’t as bad as you think.
I am also having some shoe regret, and also (I think) because I bought them soooo long ago (before we were engaged, lol). I am just going to suck it up and wear them, I think, but that’s more because I’m just being a diva about them, not because of comfort needs!

@Stace126: It may be water retention. It’s summer. Feet swell pretty easily. I have wide feet too. I feel your pain. It is so freaking hard to find shoes that are comfy and cute. I wear sneakers ALL the time. I am dreading looking for wedding shoes because ballet flats just make my feet look wider and HORRIBLE and they’re horrendously uncomfortable. Blah!

buy the shoes dont feel guilty … get a lil something blue somewhere else you will be happy for confy feet thats most important
as for the head band find another and maybe see if you can use the gems on it to add sparkle somewhere else … do not wear something you dont love its your wedding day … also if you do like it go to the hairdresser and ask her to pin it to ur head so it will not slide you might end up loving how she can work it int ot ur hair
