I accidentally took 1 ibuprofen pill for my cold and chest congestion, and my ovulation day is tomorrow….I just found out that taking ibuprofen during ovulation will affect implantation. Did I just screw myself? I”m soo worried….I had a devasting missed miscarriage in June and had to have a D&C…we starting trying again in August.

I wouldn’t worry too much. It is what it is… and I am sure that plenty of people who aren’t actively trying to get pregnant take Advil or have a few drinks, and everything turns out fine.

@msvintage: Probably not an issue because it takes a day or two after ovulation for the ovum to travel through the fallopian tube and actually get to a point where it can implant and ibruprophen only works for 4-6 hours.

I actually don’t know about the Advil affecting implantation- however, if it was the actual day of ovulation I wouldn’t worry because implantation doesn’t happen right away.

I wonder why there are other people who are saying that taking ibuprofen during the week of ovulation can also delay ovulation….so many mixed statements out there on the web….Since my MMC we’ve been trying since August and just hoping for a healthy pregnancy….
