ummm hate to tell you but that doesnt sound like acid reflux. that sounds like he has the stomach flu, food poisoning or something else. he needs to get to a doctor if that continues. acid reflux is more like heartburn, my mom and dad have it chronicly and use prilosec for it.

fever usually equals flu or infection....

I agree with spaganya... that sounds like he is sick with something.

If he does have acid reflux on top of another sickness, I would say it's better not to throw up?  For me that always caused more reflux.  For reflux I suggest taking Gaviscon extra strength chewables (not anything w/ calicum carbonate as they can cause rebound reflux in some people) and/or alkaseltzer gold (or plain ol' baking soda in water).  Either way, I hope he feels better soon.

In terms of acid reflux, it's better to keep it down and take an antacid like Tums or any of the heartburn/acid reflux meds out there.

    Hope he feels better soon!

@Lees4308: I have acid reflux pretty much daily, and I use Zantac for it currently. I agree with the other ladies that it sounds like he definately has a bug of some kind. My acid reflux starts acting up after I've had certain foods (particularly tomatoes) or soda or juice, but sometimes it will just start on it's own even when I haven't done anything to stimulate it. I just recently started taking the Zantac and so far, it works great!

I hope your hubby feels better soon! Stomach bugs are horrible!

@Lees4308:  Did you ever find out what was wrong with your husband?  I hope everything is fine now.  I know this is two months old, but just wanted to check in.

@SM1982: It was just some type of stomache virus he had. It went away soon after I posted this. Thank you for checking in!

And thank the rest of you for all of the helpful information. I did tell my husband each of your thoughts & we appreciate the advice.
