I walked down to Eastmountainsouth So Are You to Me on piano..... here's a guitar version of the song. =)
@amnystik: I almost just cried imagining a bride and her dad walking down the aisle to that tune! Awwww. Did your musician sing? I like it best with just the guitar I think.
I'm interested in people's responses too. We have a cousin playing electric guitar as I walk down the aisle and I am clueless on what I want him to play. (Although the traditional songs do sound awesome on electric guitar)
@Juliepants: We had our friends who lead our worship do it... Guy played the piano & girl sang it! I LOVED it!.. and sooooo wish I could remember actually hearing it! lol
I have always wanted to walk down the aisle to Dave Matthews Band song titled "#34". I love the peaceful quality to the beginning of the song (I will be editing the song to loop the soft parts but with an acoustic you can play all the good parts). I love that's it's not traditional classical music too. My FI plays guitar and loves the idea also! :)
What kind of music are you into? I have an acoustic duo playing our ceremony. They're playing thre pretty, mostly instrumental songs, then Blue Sky for the all the seating/processing, Here Comes the Sun for me, and All You Need is Love with a few stanzas removed at the end.
The songs I asked them to learn (with youtube links...let them play...I think you'll be surprised by how pretty they are):
Bliss into Billy Breathes
If you like those first three and want to use them, let me know. There's a website with the guitar tabs so your musician doesn't have to buy any music. :)
Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis is really beautiful on acoustic guitar
I'm having an accoustic guitarist for our weding as well. I'm still thinking of good music for him to play but here is some stuff on my playlist
Once upon a dream~ from Sleeping beauty
What a wonderful world_ louis Armstrong
This is what I'm walking down to, it's an acoustic version of Storybook Love from The Princess Bride.
@inkedbride: Who is your DJ? I'm trying to find a DJ who can play quitar as well!
Thanks!
Holy crap- I think I just figured out my ceremony music!! The theme from Princess Bride just blew my mind!!!
@lunathea: THANK YOU for posting this!
I am walking down to Ave Maria. I love the acoustic guitar version of it. It is nice and slow and very romantic. When I first heard my musicians demo it I cried, imagining myself walking down the aisle to it.

Hi everyone!
My DJ plays acoustic guitar, so he's going to play the guitar when my father walks me down the aisle. I want something unique, not necessarily serious, and pretty. I hate the traditional wedding march, and don't really want to go with Canon in D Major unless I absolutely have to.
Does anyone have any ideas of what he could play? He's going to play "Here Comes The Sun" by the Beatles at the end of the ceremony when we're walking back up the aisle as husband and wife.
Thanks bees!!
