So, I have sort of an odd situation…bear with me while I try to explain it without rambling, LOL.
I have an old friend from college that I haven’t seen in several years, but still cherish as we were really good friends during college. This friend has a brother that has some issues that prevent him from meeting a lot of people on his own; so he meets his sister’s friends and considers them friends. We became facebook friends after I met him when I would visit their home while I was in college.
I’ve only seen him a couple of times, but he considers us to be very good friends. I’m not bothered by this too much, I feel bad for him that he doesn’t get out a lot.
However, he has gotten where he makes MANY comments on things I post on social media. I get that that is why you put the stuff out there, but I do sometimes feel like comments he makes are a little personal for someone that I don’t actually know very well.
My husband is honestly one of the LEAST jealous people I know (truly, he is…one of my dearest friends is male and we go out for lunch and stuff alone, DH does not care in the slightest), and is starting to be bothered by the comments that this guy makes, because they are pretty personal.
I am in sort of an odd position though, because if I were to alienate the guy in question, my friend would be very hurt. (And also, I want to be kind to someone who needs it.) But, I admit that if it were the other way round, I’d feel odd if a woman that I didn’t know from Adam was commenting on every move DH made online.
Sorry for the saga….I just needed to get some advice on this. I want to reiterate that this is totally not a jealousy issue, just more of a weirded out thing.
