(Closed) Add a lace trim to fill the dip?

Hi CColoumbo – just wanted to stop by and give your thread some love! I’m sorry, I don’t know the definitive answer but if you find a qualified enough tailor I’m sure they could make something work. It doesn’t seem so unreasonable to attach a “modesty panel” or some sort of swatch of fabric/lace in the dip to try and give the illusion of a straight/bateau neckline.  But if the sweetheart dip “presses close into” your chest (not sure how to describe this) that may be a little more challenging. I can’t really tell from the photo you posted above. Do you have more of a “straight on” shot of the front of the dress?  But from what I can tell, the dip isn’t so dramatic…I’m sure it can be made the way you want. Hope someone with first-hand experience can follow my post.  Congrats and GL!
