So my dress has finally come in! I was SO excited to try it on again, especially since I was experiencing some dress regret! I’ve added a hoop skirt to the bottom of the dress, because I needed to alter the hem, but it was a $300 expense I did not want to spend!
When I first tried on my dress prior to ordering it, the sales associate added some beadwork to the top (beaded straps tacked to the top). When I saw it, it “sealed the deal” for me, and I was prepared to add similar beading to my dress once it came in.
Fast forward to when I tried on my dress this weekend, and now I’m conflicted! The neckline has a small scallop and a little bit of bling which is nice, but I always envisioned the dress with the bling from day one!
So bees, please give me your advice–should I add the bling or leave it as it?
Here is a closer picture of the beadwork:

You can’t really go wrong. Both look beautiful on you and are a really similar overall look in my opinion.
If you have always seen yourself in a dress with bling, get the bling 🙂 Just to full fill that idea in your head

@mrs-to-be-2014: I actually like it better without the beading. I think the beading kind of takes away from the gorgeous neckline.

I guess I’m in the minority! I really love it with the beading.

I’m usually big on less is more, but I really like the beading!

I can’t really help. I understand why this is a tough decision but like someone mentioned you cant go wrong, either way is beautiful. But if you imagined bling then go for the extra bling.

If it’s in the budget and you want it, go for it.

@drlolaz: it is and it isn’t in the budget. That particular piece is an additional $225 plus $75 to have it attached (not including tax). I can pay for it, but then I would have to pay for my headpiece and any undergarmets “out of pocket”.
I didn’t put in the price at first bc I didn’t want people to be influenced by that

No beading. I like the deeper V of the sweetheart without the beading.

@CurlyCue: it does have a very pretty deep V that is visible without the beadwork. Thanks for that, and for your opinion!

I’m not a bling person, so my biased opnion would be to say no bling. But, it doesn’t look bad with it. So if you’re wanting to have more on the dress, go for it!

No beading. Not a fan..your dress is pretty as is.

I wouldn’t add beading…and this is coming from a bride to be who’ll be wearing a fully beaded gown!
I think being that it’s a lace gown with some subtle beadwork already, adding more beading on the neckline will be a little too much. I think your dress is beautiful the way it is. But what matters most is what YOU like. 🙂

Please add the beading!! It only adds to a beautiful dress without taking anything away. Every bride should be blinged out in my opinion! lol Anyway, I think the beading is really pretty and not distracting at all.
PS. We’re wedding day twins!! haha
