Tonight I went to Michaels after reading a few tutorials about re-stringing pearls and gemstones.
Whilst at the ever so intimately small but infintely fun Atlanta bee meetup with GGSB, as we were enjoying our brunch, my pearl and gemstone necklace broke. Beads ran all over the table and she and the kind waiter and myself scrambled to get em’ and put them in a box the waiter gave me.
Well tonight, I bought some new thread (special kind of silk for beads) and restrung them. And in the process I decided my necklace had been too long all along so I shortened it. Repaired the necklace and also MADE a bracelet! I will try to make pics of them tomorrow. The bracelet isn’t fancy, but it fits great and is pretty cute!

I really liked the threading of the beads. It’s kinda zen for me. Very calming. Now I know why my sis cross stitches sometimes.
I like the pace. This could be a hobby for sure! I love creating and designing things. Pm’ing u Crebre!
But the two outta one? Gotta love it! 🙂
I did get some good coupons at Michaels for beading supplies and their famous 40 off coupon too tonight!
T was all excited. He knows that I was so saddened at the breaking of my necklace. It had amethyst, topaz, and multi colored pearls on it and was only a few months old.
Now I wanna make some earrings to match it!

See calming for me is decoupage or anything paper!! I am also going to be decoupaging letters for my living room wall tomorrow (I hope I’ll have enough time!!) I mean I am going to be diy’g christmas cards, nothing extravagant just ecru cards with a damask (bien sur) stamp that reads JOY on one half. I am going to do an embossing with red glitter because well it’ll be fantastic!!! I can’t wait to send them out!! Also watch the 40% off coupon. It usually goes from Sunday-Saturday. Also if you enroll online on the website you’ll be able to get a 40% off coupon.

- Wedding: June 2010 - Ceremony - First United Methodist Church; Reception - My parents' house!
Had I been there, I would’ve helped you pick them up! <3
(That sounds a little creepy in retrospect… lol. You know what I’m sayin’)
That sounds really awesome though! I wanna see pics!
I need a zen and calming activity. I’m not sure that my body knows what ‘calm’ is. :p
