no, try harder to combine them into 3- even if it means less savings for the guests : (18 votes)

I’d go ahead and add it. It’ll make him more excited to get gifts and it’ll help out his single friends who don’t really want to shop BBB or Target (or wherever you have your registries at). We added one on Amazon.com so FI could register for some stuff that he really wants electronics-wise.

Are you registering for household stuff?

Ah I just saw your post above….why not do Target instead of Kohls? Target has electronics and housewares

No I don’t think you’re being greedy, but I always thought registries were more for essentials like linens, appliances, stuff like that. Not a blu-ray player and printer… I’d think that stuff is usually something the couple would purchase for themselves? But honestly, I haven’t had to visit anything but baby registries lately so don’t be offended.

I agree with the Target suggestion, I love Target and it’s affordable.

@kingytobe: I think you can combine them. I might be wrong but I think Macy’s has electronics as well? And like a PP mentioned, registries are typically for household things like linens, towels, etc. I think its ok to have a few “fun” things like a DVD player but I wouldnt put too many of those things on there. Especially if you guys are just starting out and need the basics.

what about using amazon.com as your ‘4th registry’ and if you really don’t want a 4th then combine one of your first three into amazon.com

for example at amazon you can registry for whatever you want if you add their universal registry button.  Then you could register for items at best buy and macys (or one of the other stores) through amazon.  Delete your registry on the other website and you only have three sites.

we kind of did this so we could register for some camping goods and tools and it seems to be working well

I think 4 is fine.  Is there an American TV near you?  Maybe you could keep it local.

@kingytobe: Instead of actually registering at Best Buy, could you just put on your registry page (I’m assuming that you’ve got a website- otherwise, just inform your family that’ll be spreading the word) that Kingy loves al the house things, but he’d sure enjoy a Best Buy gift card or two? I’m not sure I’d create an additional registry just for 4 or 5 items, but I think some of his guy friends will ‘take pity’ on him and hook him up with some BB$$.

Personally I think 4 registry’s is a bit much.  You should probably combine to make 2 or 3.
