I want to add a corset to my Davids Bridal dress too!  I was looking at the DB’s website reviews for my style dress & there were 2 or 3 pictures of other girls that had corset put into exact same dress as mine.  However, I talked to 2 different DB alteration ladies at our B’ham store that told me conflicting stories.  One said bc of my size dress (size 8) there isnt a fabric panel so couldnt be done ??????  The second lady told me it could be done but would cost around $200 to do it!  That’s half the cost of my dress & that’s not including the additional $100 for the bustle!  So, I plan on going into the Huntsville, AL DB store to get their opinion.

My biggest problem is that if I’d gotten the original dress I tried on  this wouldnt be an issue.  When I picked my dress in the store it fit like a glove & a DB employee asked to take my dress “for just a sec” for another girl to try on & next thing I know my dress was purchased & gone.  The DB employees tried to spin it positively saying they were going to order me a brand new dress that noone else has ever tried on  (lucky me, lol)!  When my new dress came in, it didnt fit (was WAY too tight even though I had dropped almost 9 pounds from day we bought it)!  So, to solve issue lady from DB suggested I go up a size so I could have it sized down to fit as well as the last one did (which of course adds more $ in alterations for me).  So, I thought putting a corset in it would solve that issue & if I continued losing weight it would be ok bc we could just tie the corset tighter in the back.  The whole thing has been a nightmare & I kinda wish I’d paid a little more & bought from a boutique or some place that would have better customer service.

Anyhow, sorry about the rant!  Let me know how the corset thing works out for you.  My dress style is “Faille side-draped A-line gown with lace appliques” style #N9829
