I love this idea! And I think any color would look good! The iridescent color would obviously match anything, but the green would too since you have sparkles on your dress!

The only thing I would be worried about is slipping, after putting on that last coat of glue would the sole not be fairly shiny and slippery?

I know you weren’t really asking for suggestions, but I just thought I’d share what I did, cuz it was kind of similar 🙂

(you can see the bottoms just got pretty scuffed up, so keep that in mind!)

I like either the light green or iridescent! I think I remember Miss Fox saying that even with the clear coat of glue it wasn’t slippery. I do wonder if the glitter would scuff off, like how joy’s soles are a little scuffed.

@HappilyEverAfter54: I would do green.

I just did this over the weekend (with black glitter and the Martha Stewart Mod Podge) and I put the top coat on. I can assure you that it DOES NOT make them slippery and you want to do it or you’ll lose all of your glitter as you walk around. I’m not sure how they hold up as you’re walking on cement, etc. because I’m not going to risk messing them up before the wedding day.

Also, make sure you tape them up first, especially with white shoes.

Totally do it! As @Aure mentioned, if you use the Martha Stewart decoupage glue/sealant, it really isn’t slippery at all! I’m sure some of the glitter might scuff off throughout the day, especially on the sole, but as long as you get all your pictures before hand, no one will be any the wiser! Also, I vote for the green color – it would be such a fun pop!

@HappilyEverAfter54: I fail at having craft supplies around so I had to go shopping. My decision to use the Martha Stewart stuff went like this… “Hmm, Fox-y used it so I know it works… OH IT’S ON SALE!” Haha!
