Im having problems finding a dress! ive tried on nearly 40 dresses (over the past month) and i still cant find something that i like.
Im in love with the idea of a colored crinoline, but ill need a hoop in it too (as the weather will be hot when we get married). so im going to have a go at making a hooped crinoline – shouldnt be too hard.
so my first problem is that im not sure on what dress will suit a colored crinoline!
secondly, i think ive found a dress that seams to tick all the boxes on what i like, however i think it may be a bit plain – i havent tried it on or even seen it yet, hopefully i will in the next week or so.
Criteria on a dress:
beading/bling on the bodice
able to put a puffy crinoline underneath and make it look a bit like a ball gown, but not taking away the length of the train
the dress that may be the one:
Alfred Angelo #867
Net, Re-Embroidered Lace
Optional Spaghetti Straps
Also Available with Lace-up Back as style 867
so it appears its a bit plain and doesnt have any crystals or bling on it. Has anyone had any experience adding a bit of shimmer/bling to their plain dress?
Thank you for your opinions! its so hard choosing dresses and not being able to have my partner help me!

I’m having this problem too. I want a lace dress with 3/4 sleeves. The ones i like have no beading at all. I hope people post ideas or experiences. I think a seamstess could sew some on but it probably would be expensive

Its not necessarily on the bodice, but had a crystal and pearl belt sewn onto my lace dress:

@Missbubbly: Hi there!! This is actually my dress as well (with the corset back). When I went to try it on my two BM and MOH were speechless! Only one problem…it needed a little bling! So with some help from my MOH and the attendant at Alfred Angelo they added a sash with gems and rhinestones on it and a mid length veil with just enough bling to make it eally shine :). It’s a gorgeous dress and very romantic so I definitely recommend at least trying it out! Once you do, if you feel it’s your dress just ask if there’s anything that can be done to add some sparle to it :). Good luck!

The Pronovias Florete is a lace dress and has a few sequins on the bodice. It is very subtle but adds a bit of a sparkle.
My daughter is wearing the Enzoani Dakota, she bought a rhinestones belt to wear with it, but we may ask the seamstress to add a bit of sparkle on the bodice too if she decides not to wear the belt.

Adding a belt is an easy way to add bring to a lace dress. My lace dress had tiny pearls and squence and sparkly beads all on the lace, plus I added the belt which was crystal and pearls.

did you have an off shoulder lace popover jacket made to go over a strapless dress or did your dress come like that? My dress is the Alfred Angelo 867 but I am hoping to get an off shoulder lace popover jacket that gives a similar look to what i see on your dress.
