I am working on a budget for my wedding flowers (spending a max of $500 including 6 bridesmaids’ bouquets, 1 bridal bouquet, 5 boutonnieres, and a couple of altar arrangements). I am looking at Costco to purchase my flowers (white roses as the base flower for my bouquets — http://www.costco.com/Simply-Elegant-Wedding-Rose-Collections-Solid-Colors.product.11044147.html) and I found that they sell pre-made bouquets of just white flowers but I want green to be a color in the bouquets as well (below is a picture that I am modeling my flowers after —http://gallery.weddingbee.com/photo/homemade-ivory-white-038-green-bridal-bouquet).What are everyone’s thoughts of buying the plain bouquets and inserting floral picks from Michael’s or Hobby Lobby into the pre-made bouquets to give it color while staying around budget? Has anyone done this before or know how it would work? I just can’t see myself going to a florist and spending thousands of dollars on flowers to get the look I want.
