    Ok, we're about to update the template to link to the new "Full Figured" board... and thought we'd add two more new boards while we're at it, by popular demand!

    http://boards.weddingbee.com/board/babies

    http://boards.weddingbee.com/board/legal

    In addition to those two NWr boards, we're also considering renaming two boards to be more inclusive:

    • Interracial -> Intercultural
    • Same Sex -> LGBTQ (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer/Questioning)

    What do you guys think?

    @crebre80 - It's for stuff like this:

    http://boards.weddingbee.com/board/legal

    Basically if you have questions about how marriage law works in your state or overseas... or even random legal questions.  It's in NWR, so it doesn't have to be wedding related.

    Plus, we have a lot of lawyers on here...  so maybe it will be a bit of a community for our lawyer bees too. :-)

    cool - i was thinking an "expo" board might be handy so people can let others know whats happening in their area or if they want to do give us a report & pics on a expo they've been to

    I like the renaming ideas alot! And the new boards, even if they don't apply to me. But the renaming suggestions seem much more inclusive!

    where can you find these new boards if you dont remember the direct addresses?  I don't see the little tabs appearing above for any of these boards.  Will they eventually be under "other"?

    Love the idea of the legal board!  I'm not an attorney yet, but once I pass the bar in 2011, I'll be more than happy to include information on California family law.  The baby board is fabulous as well!  First comes marriage then comes a bee with a baby carriage!  Fabulous ideas!

    @Mr. Bee... Not sure of the legalities of online legal advice or legal information, but, will you include a disclosure for all bees to speak directly to their own counsel prior to making any decisions.  Mainly so people are not solely relying on the information they find on the WB.  I'd hate for WeddingBee to be held liable for such reliance.  I'm just a law student, but it seems like it could become an issue.  I'm sure you've all looked into it already, but I just had to say something.  Wink

    Ditto *Ms.Snuggie* on the blanket disclosure for the legal board.  It is not really wise for any attorney to be dispensing legal advice in this kind of forum without one.

    This legal board also got me thinking, because I am an attorney currently seeking employment :) and, you're right, there are a ton of attorney bees on this board,  what about adding a career networking board?  Bees could post jobs/careers that they are seeking and other bees could post jobs/positions openings that they know of.

    MrsK2be - The idea here isn't for attorneys to dispense legal advice.  It's just a forum where brides can ask each other questions like, how did you get your marriage license for your destination wedding?

    Real attorneys almost always post massive disclaimers on every post they make including legal advice. :-)

    If it becomes an issue, we can add an overall disclaimer for the whole site maybe... or I guess we could just delete the forum?

    Ahhh.... gotcha! Now I understand Mr. Bee - sorry for my misunderstanding.

    But I would like to say that based on the large "Unemployment" thread that was recently started, perhaps my "Career Networking" Board idea isn't such a bad one either... :)

    I dunno about a board where people can post job listings and links... that sounds more like a Classifieds sorta thing than a Boards thing?

    But maybe there could be a NWR board for "Work" related stuff - for people complaining about their boss (oops I mean, "talking about work-related issues"), and maybe also for people who are looking for jobs and that sorta stuff?

    The idea would be that people would have a place to talk about work stuff... not so much to share job listings.  Useful?

    Definitely!  I think it would be a great forum  for people to talk about the things you listed and even to ask questions like:

    How did you break into this _____ job market/career field?

    How do I change my career form this field, to that field?

    What was the most effective tool you used in your job search that helped you nail your dream job?

    Etc.....

    I think it could be really useful!  I think when people are out of work, any kind of discussion or networking can be useful in gaining tips and strategies.
