And the name if you are FOR SURE inviting them. If you’re not sure, don’t add it. 

It it will save a lot of drama/confusion to just put all the names on the STD

@sweet5k:  Why not put both names on the STD, especially if they are married/living together? It’s way easier.

If they lived together I listed them both, but living apart I just skiped SOs for the STDs.  SO’s and plus ones will be addressed on the actual invite.  I figured the STDs are way less formal, just a reminder to keep the date in mind.

It’s not “perfect” etiquette to send them to the family’s address and not the SO’s personal address, but to be honest, unless someone is HUGE into these things, they aren’t going to notice.  If you have seen others do it in his family, it is likely expected.  It will also save you money, hassle and stress.  Just make sure to know the SO’s names so you can put them on the inner envelope.
