I want to invite some people who I used to be real close with, but haven’t talked to a at least 5 years, but it would be nice to see them. The only contact method I have with them is via Facebook and I am having trouble wording a message to them. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I always find that short and sweet is a great way to re-open communication with long-lost friends. If it were me, I would say that “even though I haven’t been so great at keeping in contact all of these years, I still think of him/her often and consider them an important person in my life. I’m getting married on [wedding date] and would love to have him/her there to share the happiness.” Something like that. If they respond positively, then you can ask for their address. Good luck!

we’re planning on using postable (https://www.postable.com/) to gather addresses from people we don’t have addresses for, but can contact via email or facebook.
