Can you please tell me what is the proper way to handle this situation? Fiance and I have about 6 friends that are single and we want them to know that they are welcome to bring a guest to the wedding.
My invitations do not come with an “inside” envelope that the invite itself goes in. We just have the large envelope where we put the stamp and address and everything else just goes inside piecemeal.
Normally, I would just address the outside envelope to the recipient and on the inside one put “Jane and Guest”. BUT since I can’t, do i put that on the outside envelope? I just think that is odd because the “and Guest” does not live there.
Or do I just address to my friend and then call them once they accept to let them know they can bring a guest?
Anyone else have a similar dilemma?
