I have been having a hard time trying to see what looks best when sending an invitation to families. I have read that the proper etiquette is to do:
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Abraham
Daniel, Jeffrey, Miss Brittany and Miss Kelly
However, is it also okay to put down?:
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Abraham & Family
And why do we put Mr. and Mrs. Michael Abraham when including a family, but if it is just the married couple we put down Mr. Michael and Mrs. Jane Abraham ?
I’m trying to get a head start on my lables for the invites but I dont know where to start. Any help is appreciated!!!

Personally I’m not big on the “Mr. and Mrs. John Smith” thing, I know some people think it’s proper but it just seems so old fashioned. You could do “Mr & Mrs Smith & Family” “Mr. John Smith & Mrs. Jane Smith and family” or simply “The Smith Family”.
On ours we had an inner label as well, wrote on the invites in lieu of an inner envelope, “Mr. John Smith and Mrs. Jane Smith and Timmy and Sarah….” or for singles “Mr. John Jones and guest”. In those cases on the outside I went with “The Smith Family” because all names were listed inside.

I skipped the Mr and Mrs on my invitation. For couples I just put their names, and if I was inviting the couple and kids, I put “The Smith Family”
