I went with informal for the STDs, but we're also including them with our holiday cards this year. I'm also waiting on the "and guest"s until the actual invitations.
I'm just getting ready to send mine and I plan putting informal names on them. The only thing that is getting any Mr or Mrs is the outer envelope of my invites. I don't think a postcard is really formal by any means though.
I'd do informal, too if I could afford them. I'd also wait for the "and guest" until you do the invites!

Help me, hive! How formally are you addressing your STDs? I had planned on being informal for Save the Dates (ie, Don and Linda Smith) and formal for invitations (Mr. and Mrs. Don Smith.) For a couple with children who are invited, maybe "The Smith Family". Any thoughts? Is this appropriate?
Also, there seems to be a lot of disagreement out there as to whether include "and guest" on the save the date. Isn't this more appropriate for the inner card on the invitation?
Thanks so much for your advice!
Sincerely,
Clueless Bride to Bee
