I would simply call those whose children will be invited to let them know. No need to make the envelope more complicated, and most people don't have that attention to detail.

Save the dates are informal, regardless of the formality of the wedding itself, so you don't need titles. Also, they don't need inner envelopes for that reason.

We are only inviting children age 12 and older to our wedding. When a child is invited, which is the most appropriate wording on a STD card? (None of the families have children under and over 12 - either all the kids are over 12 or they are all under 12 - so no hurt feelings or anything). We've kind of spread this information by word of mouth as well.
On the STD envelopes, which is more appropriate? There are no inner envelopes.

and Family (on second line)
