Ok so my family of course knows me as my given name and some but not all know me as “Star” which is a name I have gone by since I am 10 years old. Besides the fact that most if nto all of my friends know me as Star and only some know me by my given name. I put our names on the Std as “Joey and Star”. My mother of course is bothered by this and says her friends won’t know who the hell that is to which my fiance reminds her that if they see the picture on the STD and still don’t know who I am then they probably shouldn’t be invited to our wedding. LOL!
But int erms of addressing the envelopes… How do I do this? Mom suggests addressing it with STar to my friends and my given name to everyone else.. or should I do my givenn name “Star” last name? This is annoying lol but I am “Star” THAT is me and I don’t feel okay NOT having that name but I see her point too.

I would do your given name as that’s more formal. Are you doing your Save-The-Date Cards as postcards? Maybe you could have your full name on the front and then on the back you could write something and then sign your name as fristname “Star” lastname. Just using Star Lastname is very informal.

Maybe you can use your birth name ON the STD, and Star on the envelope?
We put our names on the flap, but didn’t want to write both of our last names.. so we just put our first names & address.

@jenilynevette: Is your photo going to be on it? Then your close friends that know you as Star will know it’s you and mom’s friends/extended family will recognize your listed given name.

Ok so… real name I guess… The STD is already made and has His name & Star. I figure the STD is more fun and informal.. but the actual INVITE will be formal as we are having a very formal wedding.

@StarIzInkd: I personally think that you could definitely do: Given name(Star)Last name or Star (given name) Last name
