If they are a widow and were married at the time the husband died, they are Mrs.____
what about divorcees - are they Ms. now? And should I just write Mrs. HerFirst TheirLast for the grandmas?
For divorcees it depends on whether they changed their names back. While I personally did not subscribe to this, I have read that the only time it is proper to refer to Mrs. Jane Doe (as opposed to Mrs. John Doe) is when the woman is divorced. If she has gone back to her maiden name, I believe she is Ms. Jane Smith.

How do address an envelope to my fiance's grandmas (whose husband's are deceased - I never met the grandfathers) and to divorcees?
I am addressing in the format of : Mr. & Mrs. GuysFirst GuysLast for marrieds and Ms. GirlFirst GirlLast for unmarrieds but what do I do about the grandmas and divorced people that still have their ex husband last name? I know if I was divorced I wouldn't want to see my name still written as: Mrs. GuysFirst GuysLast. Should she be Mrs. HerFirst HisLast or is she a Ms. now? What about the grandmas - do I put their husbands name on the envelope or address them as Mrs. HerFirst TheirLast?
I am doing inner envelopes where I am using a less formal format of just First & Last Names so that's fine but I am confused about the Ms. vs Mrs. and use of guys name on the outer envelope?
