Congrats! They are so cute! Hope they learn to love each other!
awwww, cute! I'm sure they will be best buds in no time!
OOHHHH!! They're so cuuute! I just love kitties!
Just give them a little time to get used to each other, and I'm sure they'll be buddies. :)
So SO cute! I'm a huge advocate of getting 2 kittens at once - they'll keep each other company and play with one another instead of ruining your stuff. :) If the girl kitty loves your husband, you could try putting his shirt near the boy kitty so she associates your husband's scent with the other cat. But I'm sure they'll love each other in no time!
Oh they are so adorable!!!! I have a black and orange cat too, although they are now senior cats. Enjoy the fun kitten time!!!
Precious kitties! I am allergic to cats so I can't have any of my own, but luckily I adore dogs and am not allergic to them.
I think they will get used to being in a two-cat household. When my FI's family got a new cat, the other one hissed and was mad at first. But they pretty quickly adjusted and have developed a kitty friendship that's pretty cute!
Ah! They're so cute! I think they'll grow to love each other. You did a good thing by introducing them to their new home at the same time. So neither one feels like they're king or queen of the household. Wish I had done that! I have 2 rescues from 2 different times (if I find a kitten in the street, chances are I'm gonna bring it home, it's a sickness). The eldest one still hisses at the younger one because she's convinced she runs the joint... its been 2 years now. Ugh, lol.
Enjoy your new lil babes :)
SO CUTE! Yes they will be bff in no time, especially since they're babies. PS: That orange one is going to be BIG! More to love!
@Melissabegins: LOL, I know, I picked the worst 2 spots to take a picture of them. :) The tile is our kitchen, that has black cabinets, so we joked we picked them to match our kitchen, and then my mom realized they match our hair too (I have red hair, he has black).
Thanks everyone!
Omg..absolutely precious...I've always found the orange cats are more friendlier than any other colored ones..Any truth to this for others?
Omg so cute! Good job getting 2 at once. We got 2 at once, and they love each other (they are brother and sister though, if being litter mates makes a difference.) but they still destroy the furniture. lol.
Awww! They are so cute! When we adopted kitties from the Humane Shelter, we got an orange one and a dark one, too!! I just couldn't decide, so we got them both! I think kitties do great in pairs, Congrats!! :)
Thanks everyone, now that this post's been brought up again, I might as well update with newer pics! These cats have turned my husband into a cat person! They are really sweet, love each other and have completely opposite personalities! Bruno (orange) plays all the time, talks all the time, very sweet and loyal (stayed with me the entire time as I recovered from surgery this past month) but won't sleep with us (or does so on the foot of the bed for a bit). Valentina (black) sleeps all the time, is more quiet and shy and loves to cuddle and sleep under the covers. If you sit on the couch, she will be in your lap in about 5 minutes. She takes care of Bruno and puts up with him "attacking" her to play all the time. They'll both be a year in April.
And yes, this last picture was our Christmas card. :)
Oh wow they are so cute! Double trouble! I can't wait until I'm in a cat friendly place. I miss having kitties around!
Aw- I love them both!! Congratulations!
Oh my gosh, they are sooo cute!!! So glad they became friends. Cats are so fun!!!
Thanks again!
I just realized I had a different name for him in my first post, not important, but I don't want people to think I'm crazy! We changed it about a week after because I could not say Giovanni fast- and he is a little trouble maker! Valentina, no problem though, and she now knows her name so that when she is sleeping up in our bedroom, I can yell "Valentina, treat!" and she comes right down. :)

I don't think the puppy situation is going to work out, we weren't approved by the rescue and in the meantime, we sort of realized we might not have the energy to train a puppy. So, maybe at a later time, we can adopt an older dog that likes cats. :)
So, we went to the SPCA last night to look, I didn't want to rush into anything, but my husband picked up the black one and she loved him so he didn't put her down for 15 minutes. Then, I went into the other kitty room and immediately saw him and picked him up. Love at first sight!
We think we finally settled on their names: Valentina & Giovanni.
They're doing well so far, both mellow. However, she does not like being part of a 2 cat household! She hisses at him sometimes, I hope that goes away soon!
